We acknowledge this is a difficult time for handmade, small business, and artisan communities as markets are being postponed and cancelled across the country. To many, these organized markets are their only source of income and were operating on small margins as it is. Our hearts are with our tireless and fearless vendors during this difficult time.
What can we do to support the creative economy while we ride this wave? Continue to shop local! We strongly encourage you consider:
– Shop at independent-owned stores rather than big box stores when you need to get supplies.
-Purchase gift cards from your favourite local shop in order to offset the loss of cash flow to that business.
-Many of our vendors have online shopping options. Buy online! Don't see an online shop? Contact your favourite producer and make arrangements for delivery.
-Mark your calendars for postponed dates. Markets will be up and running before we know it! This is only temporary.
Fear is contagious but so is kindness. Let's continue to shop local and spread kindness (not germs). Today is our day.
Follow us to stay updated for our announcements regarding postponed events and new dates. Thank you for your patience.
